OhioSMART Ties April Event: Creative use of Poles, Chairs, and other tying Accessories

We have all seen delicious and devious use of bamboo + rope or tying someone to a chair to exposure their body for additional types of play. Have you wondered what logistics and safety concerns go into using static items in your rope scenes? If so, join us at OhioSMART to cover safety, negotiating, and suggested best practices for using items like chairs and rods to add complexity to your scenes. We will only be covering how to do so with floor rope in this class.

You should have a solid understanding of a single column tie (non-collapsing), reversing tension, and half-hitches. If not, we will cover some of these.

This class will not have any specific patterns to follow but will instead encourage safe(r) creative use of fundamental rope skills and autonomy to create rope scenes.

You'll need:

Optional: Bamboo, PVC Pipe, Curtain Rods, and/or other tying tools
Rope/Gear: 4x30' hanks or more is ideal. We have some to share if needed
Safety Shears/Cutting Tool
Class Type: Intermediate, skill share, open tie
Class Setup: Mat/Ground Area (will have several hard points)
Prerequisite: Single Column Tie, frictions (preferred not required)

OhioSMART April Third Saturday: Sensation Stations (April 18, 2026)

Each year OhioSMART does a Sensation Stations Educational Play Party. What is that, you ask? Great question!

OhioSMART invites in local tops to demonstrate different types of play at individual stations around the dungeon. This allows you, the participant, to try the things you are curious about, but maybe didn't want to devote an entire scene to. This is also a great event for newcomers who have yet to try particular types of play. As they say, you never know until you try, and you just might find something you love!

As a note: Each individual participant, those topping at the station and bottoming for the sensation, will be actively negotiating during the event. If you are new to scene or what we call 'pick up play,' (any play done "in the moment") please stop by our negotiation station first! We will go over negotiation skills, tips, and tricks to help you navigate this event.

Performers for the night:

Marquis Gaylord (he/him)

Marquis Gaylord (he/him) is a Cleveland based diabolical drag divo hailing from the far away dungeons of Thotlandia. This delightful little freak is known for his visual storytelling, handcrafted props and a transsexual ass that just won't quit. With performances inspired by all things that go bump (and hump) in the night, he's been happily defiling every stage he's been on since 2022. Marquis is also a show producer, cultivating bizarre spectacles like The Odditorium at No Class and URGE, a kinky queer dance party.

AndroNTT (he/him)

AndroNTT (he/him) is the confident king of Akron! This past summer he was a finalist in the beloved local competition Mx. Zephyr. Andro is an up and cumming impact top, you can find him at URGE giving demonstrations that leave you wanting more. He’s not afraid of being himself and dishing out some pain.

Maine(void) (it/he/they)

Hello world! Maine(void) (it/he/they) is stepping out of the computer screen and onto the stage as Cleveland's premier drag robot! They will take you on an exploration of technology, Afrofuturism, gender and more! They will make you laugh, they will make you cry, but most importantly, they will make you feel!

Fair E. Tales (he/they)

The Fae King of Cleveland, Fair E. Tales (he/they) brings fantasy, fun, and flare to the stage. His performance style is inspired by the theatrics of Broadway and the high fantasy of Dungeons and Dragons. From vibrant colors to extravagant detailing, his drag is a celebration of gender nonconformity, kink, and passion in every sense of the word.

Zoey Zegai (she/they)

Zoey Zegai (she/they) is the Triple Threat Pup Queen of Northeast Ohio! Winner of Drag Queen Invasion: Top Prospect Season 1, Kink Royale Lip Sync Champion, and a former Miss Ohio All Star Newcomer, Zoey blends her love of theatre, kink, and comedy in one curvaceous package. She’s been one of your Drag Brunch hostess’ for CLAW, Co-Host for Kink Down South 2025 (Atlanta), and Co-Host of the 1st Annual Person of Gear, Mr and Mrs. Classic Leather, and Mr. Leather Akron. Selecting and Finishing a Cane: You will get to pick a cane, put a durable finish on it, and make a handle/grip for it.

There will be a selection of bamboo or Oak Canes with a leather or paracord handle grip.

Bio:

My name is Jeff. My polycule and I have been involved in kink for quite a few years. In 2024, I decided to put my love of making quality kink toys to good use and started Flogging Farmers. In going to events, we realized we enjoy interacting and getting to know the attendees as much as we do telling people about our toys! We recently started offering some simple classes on how to make your own canes as there is something very rewarding about using an implement that finished by your very own hands! We look forward to seeing everybody in May and helping you craft your own cane!

OhioSMART Third Saturday August: Glow Night + Dance Party with Pup Jazz (August 15, 2026)

Come join us for OhioSMART's Third Annual Glow Party with a twist! This year we are having out Pup Jazz for a Glow Dance Party!

The Arch Dungeon will be fully decorated for all the fun glow-y times with DJ Pup Jazz spinning from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM! During that time, we will be passing out neon wrist bands which will indicate willingness to dance, observe, be approached, etc. Consent counts everywhere - even on the dance floor!

Dancing not your thing? No problem! We will have the Main Dungeon open for play from 7:00 PM - 1:00 AM for our Third Saturday Play Party!

Once the Dance Party portion of the evening is over - we will have the glow items up for all your UV reactive play! Come bring your wax, face paint crayons, etc. and enjoy the black lights and decorations!

Important Details

Optional Vendor Load In: Thursday, October 15 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Vendor Load In: Friday, October 16 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Vendor Load Out: Saturday, October 17 from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
For load in and load out - we will have volunteers available for those times to help you load in, load out, and get situated!

Vending Hours

Friday, October 16 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Optional Hours from 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Saturday, October 17 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (There will be a vending only hour from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM to encourage people to visit for any last-minute items/sales)
There is no vending on Sunday, October 18 - just classes and socials.

Tabling options for members are as follows:

Small 4 x 4 Space: $75
Medium 6x6 Space: $110
Large 10 x 10 Space: $150

The vending fee will include two (2) all access passes for the weekend. Tables and chairs provided upon request.

Please note, regardless of the reason, we will always honor the refund policy listed below.

Refund Deadlines

Requests on or before July 18 will receive a 100% refund.
Requests from July 19 to September 13 will receive a 50% refund.
After September 14 vendor fees become nonrefundable.

Fetish Flea 2026: Presenter Registration (October 16, 2026)

This is the official registration for presenters for Fetish Flea 2026.

As a reminder - Classes will take place from Friday October 16 through Sunday, October 18. An acceptance of registration encompasses the items listed in your presenter offer letter.

December Third Saturday: Third Annual Bingo in a Winter Wonderland (December 19, 2026)

Come join OhioSMART for our Third Annual relaxing Winter Wonderland BINGO Night at the Dungeon!

We'll be calling out numbers in our best dressed Winter Wonderland Gear and that means sparkly dresses, ugly sweaters, light bulb flashing hats, and more! Come play a couple of rounds of BINGO for some fun prizes and enjoy each other's company for the start of winter!

We do have some volunteer needs that we would like to see filled:

BINGO Caller: This individual would be the one to call out numbers and check winners boards. If are willing to be the caller - we will give you a free party on us for a later date! Arrival time is 6:30 PM for BINGO greeting. 1 position
Openers for Arch Dungeon: These individuals will set up the BINGO Chairs and Tables. This position may require moving tables from our upstairs storage. Arrival time is 6:30 PM for set up. 2 positions.

General positions:

General Openers: To hang signs, put our candy and first aid kits. Arrival time is 6:30 PM for set up. 2 positions
General Closers: To take down signs, take out trash, put candy and first aid kits away. Start time is about 12:30 AM. As many people as would like to stay - we never say no to closers!
